Join the MoJo Revolution, starting February 8, 2010 On February 8, 2010, the BC International Media Centre for the Winter Olympics officially opens. When it does, DigiBC (the Digital Media and Wireless Association of BC) and Vericorder Technology will unveil the MoJo Revolution, a revolutionary new way to gather and distribute new using just a smart phone. MoJo is short for Mobile Journalism.

David Barkwell, senior v-p of Kelowna, BC-based VeriCorder, describes its new application as “integral to the world’s most ambtious and innovative assignment to date in mobile journalism: an entire sports broadcasting network, powered solely by our software running on iPhones.

When the Winter Games start on February 12, journalism students and professional reporters will be recording, editing and filing stories on the web, in streaming audio and video, using VeriCorder’s new ShowCase multimedia software. Before and during the games, VeriCorder and DigiBC are offering 200 free Showcase software licences, plus training and hardware, to qualified journalists, journalism students, and bloggers covering sporting and other events in and around the Winter Games.

Michael Bidu, President of DigiBC and Executive Producer of VX, has this to say about Vericorder: “MoJo is a truly unique application that will help reporters from all over the world to have a better mobile reporting experience than at any Olympic Games ever. What impressed me the most with Vericorder’s technology is the intimate understanding of customer needs and the very reliable backend. The management team from Kelowna has many years of experience in journalism and their MoJo service was a great fit with the VX Services.”
