Poddio by VeriCorder recipient of “What Caught My Eye?” recognition at IBC 2009 in Amsterdam!

There are as many as 1300 companies exhibiting at this year’s International Broadcast Convention in Amsterdam. It can be a challenge to get the attention and the eye of the 45,500 people attending.

Each year the Convention sponsors the “What Caught My Eye” competition. It is judged by industry experts. The panel of judges for the “What Caught My Eye? – Media on the Move 2009 Solution included David Dawson-Pick, Director of DDP Enterprise UK, Ken Blakeslee, Chair Web Mobility Ventures UK and Mike Short V-P Technology O2 and chair of the Mobile Data Association U-K.

Vericorder CEO Gary Symons says this is a real validation of what our products are about…innovation…simplicity and making work easier for the thousands of people in the business of journalism. Poddio is a package of audio recording and editing software based on an iPhone platform for the journalism industry. It’s noted to be new and worthwhile in making the life of a content provider straightforward and painless in the complex multi-platform world.

With as many as 1,300 exhibiting companies on the show floor, it can be a challenge to identify the ‘must see’ exhibits. Industry experts search the exhibition floor for content destined for personal mobile viewing; seeking innovations that heighten the user’s experience in creating, acquiring, publishing, sharing and enjoying rich content. This includes innovative “must see” exhibits, creative new approaches to unlocking the archives and content delivery of all types to the mobile screen.
